Our Hygienists
Our Hygienists are equipped with the latest technologies and instruments to provide the best possible care to our patients. They have completed comprehensive hand-on training at The Las Vegas Institute and attend multiple seminars each year eager to always learn more. At McDowell Dental, each patient will receive comprehensive screenings to determine the optimal treatment plan to enhance or preserve their dental health. Our Hygienists are highly educated in Restorative Dentistry, TMD Dentistry, Occlusion, Periodontal Disease, Laser Therapy Treatment, and Oral Cancer Screenings.
Wendi Murphy
RDH
Wendi Murphy graduated with an Associate of Science degree in Dental Hygiene from the Community College of Philadelphia’s Dental Hygiene Program at the top of her class. Wendi joined McDowell Dental in 1991. Over the years, Wendi has attended numerous continuing education courses advancing her knowledge in dental hygiene. She most recently attended the Advanced Technologies for Dental Hygiene course at the Las Vegas Institute for Advance Dental Studies. Wendi is proficient in assisting patients with their overall health, and excels in promoting overall health by caring for teeth and gums and educating patients on the link between dental and overall body health.
Wendi lives in Huntingdon Valley with her husband Jack and daughters Jaclyn and Sara. Wendi currently serves on the board of the Drueding Auxiliary Center for Homeless Women and Children and the Huntingdon Valley Junior Women’s Club.
Samantha Colti

Samantha Colti graduated summa cum laude from Montgomery County Community College in 2025 with an Associate of Science degree in Dental Hygiene. Although new to the role of hygienist, Samantha brings over 10 years of experience in the dental field, having worked as an orthodontic assistant in a pediatric practice. She is a dedicated clinician with a strong passion for patient care and comfort. Her gentle approach, combined with keen attention to detail and clinical skill, ensures high-quality, personalized care for every patient.
Barbara Hoelzle

Barbara Hoelzle earned her Associate of Science degree in Dental Hygiene from New Hampshire Technical Institute in Concord, NH, graduating magna cum laude in 2004. She joined McDowell Dental & Aesthetics in 2024, bringing a thoughtful and highly personalized approach to patient care. Barb is deeply passionate about education, with a particular focus on the oral-systemic connection. She is dedicated to curating individualized home care protocols that support each patient’s overall health and long-term wellness.

Melinda has been a dental assistant for 20+yrs and is x-ray and CPR certified. She went to North Montco Technical Career Center during high school at North Penn. Melinda enjoys time with her family and learning new things. She has been a great addition to the McDowell Dental team.
Tina Baquero
Dr. Ashley’s Assistant
Tina recently joined our team as a dental assistant, bringing with her 19 years of experience in orthodontics. She is X-ray certified and known for her friendly, patient-focused approach. Born and raised in Glenside, Tina is a proud Philadelphia sports fan. Outside the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband and son, as well as her large extended family, including her five siblings, nieces, and nephews.

Beth’s specialty is providing dependable service and a quick response for our patients insurance needs. Her goal is to provide outstanding personalized care to each of our patients. She will work hand in hand with you to help better understand dental insurance benefits and maximize the reimbursement for covered procedures. Beth will work to provide clarity to the confusing world of dental insurance.
Kelly Jaskowiak
Kelly joined the McDowell Dental team in 2020. Her focus is on patient assistance and scheduling. Kelly is happy to communicate patient needs quickly and efficiently for the best possible results. When not working Kelly enjoys spending time with her husband and their dog.
